Make them pay: national enforcement bodies at the service of air passengers’ rights

Are national enforcement bodies obliged to order an airline to pay compensation to passengers in case of denied boarding, cancellation or long delay of flights? In this article, we briefly address the main legal issues at stake in cases Ruijssenaars and Jansen (Joined Cases C-145/15 and C-146/15) and LOT (C-597/20) of the Court of Justice.
